Hydrocal is a harder plaster than pottery plaster #1 (which just happens to be plaster of paris) but not as hard as Hydrostone.
There are also specialty plasters with fibers and I’ll see about adding some links and information about where to find that. I used to have a wonderful plaster dealer in my home town but they’ve since, closed and the local pottery supply now has the dealership.
